About the Michigan Victory Games Director:

Stella A. Husch, MSA, CPRP, CTRS

Stella Husch has been a Certified Recreational Therapist for years. Stella graduated from Michigan State University with a BS Degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Resources with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. She went on to complete a Masters of Science Degree in Administration with Central Michigan University.

Places in which Stella has been employed include City of Lansing Parks and Recreation, Oakland County Parks and Recreation, City of Oak Park Recreation Department, William Beaumont Hospital and Strive, Inc.

Currently, Stella Husch works as the President of Strive Recreational Therapy Services, Inc. and the Director of Strive, Inc., a non-profit recreational therapy service organization. Both businesses were developed by Ms. Husch to answer to the great need of Therapeutic Recreation (TR) services for individuals with disabilities within the community. Stella has served on the Michigan Disability Sports Alliance Board in past years. She has been involved in the Michigan Victory Games for more than 10 years. She was a past head coach for the Mighty Oaks Adaptive Sports Team and serves as a volunteer and coach where ever and when ever needed!

Stella Husch was named as the Michigan Victory Games Director after Cindy Burkhour, CTRS, CPRP resigned to oversee the implementation of the "Access to Recreation" grant funded by W.K. Kellogg Foundation. This 3.28 million dollar grant is earmarked to insure that recreation opportunities are available to individuals with disabilities throughout Michigan.
